Birth stories for me are always an interesting read. So here goes mine... Well I had complete my 40 week on 5th December and my contractions had not yet begun. This time around I had a lovely doctor who was very supportive of natural delivery. I went to him on 5th December, Friday and nothing was happening, no contractions, enough water in the water bag. So he told me to come the following week on Monday. I had begun contraction but they were irregular, enough water again, So I was sent back. This was followed by a visit on Wednesday, again irregular contractions and enough water , so was sent back again. The next appointment was on Friday 12th Dec, full water bag and irregular contractions, doctoe said your baby should be out during this weekend, but since there was nothing happening yet you can go home. Well this time around I was very relaxed, way pasted my week 41 I was still very energetic, so after the doctors appointment, I went of with my hubby for a lovely lunch. Ironically I also was running to catch a bus in week 41 !! one of the crazy thing I did that day. We returned home at 2.30 pm and then we all decided to rest. Around 3pm, I started feeling the contractions every half and hour, by evening I was rushing to the bathroom and could not keep anything down. the contraction were coming every 15 minutes by 8.00 pm and even though I had dinner I threw it all up and was totally miserable by 10 pm with contractions coming almost every 10 minutes. I had my final throw up at 11pm and told my hubby I need to go to the hospital as the pain was getting unbearable. He asked me to hold on the night. After a lot of argument on whether to goto the hospital or not, I put my foot down and said I need to go now. So he called for a cab. He and my father accompanied me to the hospital. I reached the hospital by 1.00 am and my contractions were not coming 4 min apart and the pain was unbearable. I asked for an epidural, which I was given. Surprisingly my doctor said my water bag had burst and so the contractions were so close. We waited till about 4.00am when the doctor saw irregular heart beat of the baby and examined my cervix for dilation. He unfortunately found the baby had passed meconium due to contractions and he ordered for an emergency c-sec. Well my baby was out finally on 13th December 2014, midst all the drama. I had a healthy baby girl - Yuvna weighing 3.6 Kgs after 41.5 weeks. A girl, who like all girls came out with lots of drama. The most beautiful experience and the most thrilling pregnancy. A sweetheart and a princess, there could not have been a better way you would have been born!! Love you to the moon and back :)
